"On the Qui Vive" signifies being alert, vigilant, and prepared—much like standing guard or keeping watch. Paws QuiVive functions as a personalized safety monitor, dedicated to safeguarding both you and your loved ones.

Have you ever considered, "If something were to happen to me, who would check on me and how long would it take?" or thought, "My friend or relative lives alone and hasn't responded to my messages; I wish there was an unobtrusive way to ensure they're okay?" Paws QuiVive offers a solution by allowing users to set up customized well-check alerts and designate an emergency contact—who does not need to be a user or subscriber.

Usage Overview:
<ol>
<li>We coordinate verification with your emergency contact.</li>
<li>If your contact declines, you are notified and can select an alternative.</li>
<li>Once accepted, your initial wellness check-in is scheduled at your chosen time.</li>
<li>If you do not respond to a check-in, a reminder is sent before initiating an emergency notification.</li>
<li>In the event of non-response, your emergency contact is alerted to verify your condition.</li>
<li>Following an emergency alert, you must confirm your wellness within the app before subsequent check-ins resume.</li>
</ol>

Paws QuiVive Features:

<li>Create Your Wellness Check: Specify intervals between alerts, preferred time of day for notifications, and follow-up timings if no response is received. Preferences can be adjusted readily from the home screen.</li>
<li>Customize Alerts: Includes options such as Vacation Mode to pause alerts during travel or special circumstances, and an option to notify local police through the NLPD—availability contingent upon local police participation (see link at end).</li>

<li>Select a consistent time of day for wellness checks when you are near your phone with volume sufficient to hear alerts.</li>
<li>Approach wellness checks as part of your daily routine—similar to brushing teeth or taking medication—to foster consistency.</li>
<li>Initially, you may miss some alerts. To reset and resume notifications: respond promptly to the latest SMS check-in, follow the embedded link, and confirm status within the app by selecting OK or All Clear/Resume Service.</li>

Paws QuiVive serves individuals who value regular reassurance of their well-being, including those who live alone, work remotely or evening shifts, have traveling spouses or partners, enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or backpacking, are managing new medications, are single parents, operate in small households with pets, are preparing for college, or have medical conditions such as diabetes or recovery from surgery. It also provides support for individuals at risk of domestic violence.

Subscription Details:

<li>Enjoy a free 30-day trial period upon initial registration.</li>
<li>The subscription options include an Auto-Renewing Standard Plan and an Ad-Free Plan. Selection is made via the menu icon on the home screen; users will receive reminders prior to automatic renewal of the free trial period.</li>
<li>The Standard Plan may display advertisements during app usage and is billed semiannually via iTunes. The Ad-Free Plan offers uninterrupted service billed annually.</li>
<li>Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is disabled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscription management can be performed through iTunes account settings; however, cancellations during an active subscription are not permitted until renewal.</li>
